Built to Last: Lessons in Resilience from My Grandfather

Success is not a sprint; it’s a craft. My grandfather, Vincent, used to say, “If you love your work, it will love you back.”

This type of vision is like looking through the lens of the history of the Appian Way: the Via Appia Antica. It was built stone by stone, designed to last for millennia through every storm and shift in history. I have adopted that “built-to-last” philosophy as my professional compass.

Whether it is a family I’m helping navigate the New York real estate market as a partner with Redfin, or guiding a student through the beautiful complexities of the Italian language, I cannot look for shortcuts. “Informational Advantage” is a perspective that allows for proper positioning and sizing a situation appropriately. In doing so, challenges become solved, and specialized impact comes into play. By treating every step as an investment, it becomes a premium service, high grade quality for enriching results.

In a world of “Perception vs. Perspective,” I choose perspective. I choose to build foundations of integrity and clear communication. What is unique to me, for example, if referencing languages, is entirely different from another’s perspective; they are more than likely not the same. By thinking like another, you scale into informational advantage thus allowing for super positioning, so you can execute a well thought out strategy that leads to success.

This is my “New Horizon.” It is a commitment to educational resilience, cultural immersion, and providing institutional-grade service in everything I do.
